random inspirations & notes

Oded Ezer's homage to Milton Glaser's I ❤ NY logo
- this project reminds me of the different journeys a single letter can take & express itself
- highly recognizable yet beautiful expression in variation
- other type samples ("Schrift in Form" exhibition in Klingspor museum, Brazilian 'Tupigrafia' magazine)

In Memoriam: World Trade Center
- the simplicity and strong symbolization of the images related to the overall message
- small yet clear type, bold type on the main events that clearly further adds on to the image

Touch
- RFID technology based products, connecting to the physical and social network
- social & playful assisted by technology
- Picnic Conference RFDI networked Photo Booth: resulted in random and chaotic, emerged from physical, social proximity, low-threshold physical interactions to grow online social network

Student - Professional programs @ IIDEX/Neocon Canada 2008

Student Passport Program
A guide to help you navigate your way through the show. Using this passport will ensure that you participate in the key activities and events while allowing ample time to visit over 400 exhibitors.

Student Career Exchange
Spend direct time with interior designers to learn about their design stories, business practices, and project experiences. Students have 10 minutes with an interior designer before moving on to the next one and hearing a new set of experiences.

Student/Exhibitor Volunteer Program
Student volunteers are assigned an exhibitor partner for a day. Students learn about the exhibitor's product and business while helping with the flow of visitor traffic and education within the booth space.

Student Charrette
Students register for this competition with their school program coordinators and school teams arrive at IIDEX with little known to them other than the tools they may bring. That morning we reveal their design conundrum and let them toil over their approach in quiet groups, before plotting their creative structures/floor exhibits to be judged later that day.
Intern Challenge
Challenge of re-purposing a familiar item into a lighting fixture
